Active Bands LEGENDS Competition Term THREE 2023
Join your Avatar in the App for the ultimate gaming experience & become an Active Bands LEGEND!
In Term Three, it’s time to show us all the cool ways that you like to stay active. Whack on your band, gather your besties or go it alone and record your favourite skills drill, game, exercise, stretch, or activity to win. Share your photo or video with a brief description and submit, easy as that!
Winners will have their activity uploaded to the Activity Library in the app for all users to enjoy, cementing your place as an Active Band LEGEND in the process. AND, winners are also up for a fantastic prize pack. Individual winners will take home a PUMA Merchandise Prize Pack, valued at $100. School/Group winners will earn themselves an Athletics Australia Kids’ Aths Equipment Kit, valued at $400.
The LEGENDS competition is open to all Active Band registered children and deliverers through the remainder of Term Three and upcoming school holidays, from Monday 21st August until Sunday 1st October inclusive. Winners will be notified by email and announced across all Active Bands channels (website, socials, newsletter) on Wednesday 4th October.

Congratulations to our Term TWO Schools Challenge WINNERS!
A shout out all Term Two Schools Challenge competitors who have blown us away with incredible results. We’ve seen both big and small schools take up the challenge with great success! Special mention to many of the high achieving schools landing themselves in the top ten: Al-Ameen, Annandale, Avondale, Beaconsfield, Bridgetown, Dianella Heights, Good Shepherd, Leinster, Penshurst, Pine View and Settlers Primary Schools.

7-Day-Streak Holiday WINNERS Announced
Well done to all Active Banders who worked hard staying active over the holidays to log a 7-Day-Streak of activities. The number of entries was impressive, as was the effort to achieve a 7-Day-Streak. The two lucky winners drawn were students from Wedge Park Primary School (VIC) and Settlers Primary School (WA). Enjoy the new PUMA Team AUS prize pack & watch for our athletes compete at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, 19 - 27 August. Go the green & gold!
Active Bands® Program Information for Schools
Designed, developed, and operated by Athletics Australia, Active Bands® is an exciting and fun platform that encourages children to be more physically active, more often. Active Bands® unites the digital and physical worlds with a clever mix of science and technology to enhance your school's activity program - including Sporting Schools. Many schools and thousands of Aussie kids Australia-wide are involved, with more joining every day.
How It Works
Each student will receive a free wristband that connects to the Active Bands® mobile app developed by Athletics Australia. The platform then rewards children, unlocking incentives as movement milestones are met.
Why Work Together?
Only 19% of Australian children aged 5 to 17 are meeting the recommended guidelines of 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity a day. Athletics Australia, through Active Bands®, is taking a lead role in influencing and assisting Aussie kids to be more physically active. If you share this vision with us, we would love to work with you to achieve a real and measurable difference. It can easily integrate into your physical education programs and support efforts to increase physical literacy levels across the school community.
